Benefits of Planting RoundUp Ready Soybeans
PLANTING NEW SEED
OFFERS YIELD ADVANTAGE
Not only is it illegal to save and replant patented seed, growers may not be happy with the yield results and overall profitability. You can't afford to plant bin run seed! Bin run planting rates are generally 15% higher than new certified seed. New seed out yielded bin-run seed by 2.73 bushels per acre. Other recent studies have found a yield advantage of up to 5 bushels per acre.
Another benefit to buying new seed each year is better overall quality. Seed that has been properly conditioned offers a high purity level, improved genetics, known germination, and more uniform seed size to aid in maximizing proper planting populations. The seed must meet the quality standards of UniSouth Genetics, Inc. This ensures that the seed was professionally handled & vigorously tested to dramatically reduce splits and foreign matter and ensures varietal purity. All Roundup Ready soybeans have been laboratory tested to be tested 99% tolerant to Roundup Ready herbicide.
The purchase of new seed includes the benefits of dealer agronomic support before and after the sale along with risk management benefits of Roundup Rewards® (over $500 million paid to growers since 1997).
The royalties paid to Monsanto go towards the research and development of new traits and higher yielding germplasm. Monsanto is 100% committed to agriculture.
UniSouth Genetics, Inc. and Monsanto are committed to our costumers' success.
Note: The vast majority of farmers don’t pirate seed.
The few who do, disrupt a level playing field for everyone.
